What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell and involved in turning food into energy, and its levels naturally decline with age. NAD+ therapy gives you NAD+ by IV drip or injection. Talk with your provider about what it may or may not do for you.

What's in a NAD+ infusion?

Every NAD+ infusion tier, from 250 mg to 1,000 mg, uses the same base: 1 liter of lactated Ringer's with double magnesium and a B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6). Only the amount of NAD+ changes. If you've had a hydration or vitamin IV before, the bag and the setup will feel familiar. The injections are simpler: the menu lists NAD+ as their only ingredient.

How long will my first session take?

NAD+ injections are 15-minute appointments. Every infusion dose uses the same 1-liter bag, but the 750 mg and 1,000 mg appointments run much longer than 250 or 500 mg, so book those ahead and choose an early start. Does a NAD+ IV hurt?

It goes in like any other IV: through a small needle, usually in your arm. You may notice mild bruising where the line went in. If anything feels uncomfortable while the drip runs, tell the team right away. If needles make you nervous, say so when you arrive. It's a common concern.

Is NAD+ therapy right for everyone?

Not necessarily, and that's what the Good Faith Exam is for. New to Alpha IV? Your first visit starts with a $35 Good Faith Exam, a short telehealth visit with a licensed provider that covers you for 12 months. The provider reviews your health history and decides whether IV therapy is right for you. The fee is non-refundable, even if you aren't approved, and you need the exam before a NAD+ injection as well as an infusion.

Tell the team about any medications you take and any health conditions you have. If you're sick, see your physician first; an infusion isn't a treatment for illness.

How should I prepare?

New client? Complete your Good Faith Exam before your appointment.
Arrive hydrated. Drink water beforehand.
Eat something first, so you're not starting a long drip on an empty stomach.
Bring a list of your medications and allergies to share with the team.
Keep the whole appointment free. For 750 mg or 1,000 mg, bring your phone and a charger, or a book.

What should I do after my session?

General IV aftercare applies, and most people go about their day afterward. Take it slow when you stand up, and follow any instructions the team gives you before you leave. Can I combine NAD+ with other IV services?

Yes. When you book a NAD+ infusion, you can add vitamin and mineral boosts (most are $30, charged at your visit). If you're booking another IV, you can add the 100 mg NAD+ add-on for $100. Ask the team whether a combination suits you.

How often do people come in for NAD+?

It varies, and there's no fixed schedule everyone follows. Some clients prefer a lighter, more frequent routine with injections; others would rather come in less often and book a larger infusion when they do.
